How do I search for availability?
Go to the Property's "Booking Availability Prices" page. There you will find a calendar with the weeks still available and the rental cost.

How do I book?
The booking procedure begins with filling out the booking form or by contacting Mario Santoro.

How long does it take to receive a response to my booking?
Mario Santoro will reply promptly to all requests. Booking confirmation is sent when  payment of the deposit is received. The balance is due two months before the date of your arrival.

How do I cancel a reservation?
We will make every effort to exchange your booking for another time at the same property or another villa. In some cases a refund is possible.  For further details please see the "General Conditions" page.

What can we expect at the villa when we arrive?
A clean place stocked with all the cutlery, pots and pans, dishes, glassware, cups and saucers, coffee maker, blankets, pillows, bed linens and towels to make your stay a comfortable one. Our discreet and efficient  friendly staff,  will strive to ensure that your visit to TodiCastle Estate meets all of your expectations.

What additional services are available?
Relaxing massage at your swimming pool, baby sitting, children's parties, guided tours, car and driver, car rental, wine tasting, cooking classes, chef, pizza party (available only at Villa Pianesante), pre-arrival grocery purchase and many other "tailor made" services.

Do we need to rent a car? How do we get there if we don't have a car?
Umbria is a peaceful scenic rural area. A short distance from the Estate there is a small local store (about two miles away). The closest international airport is Rome Fiumicino International Airport and from there to here it's about a 2 hour drive. The closest train station is Orvieto (a 45 minute drive). If guests choose not to rent a car we can arrange for them to be picked up at the airport or train station. We will need  advance notice to arrange this service. During your stay a car with a driver can be rented, or you can rent a car through us.

Can you arrange for transfer service?
We can provide our guests with transfer services to and from all destinations for up to 11 people.

How are the seasons?
Each season has its own beauty. Of course spring and fall have the most comfortable weather. Temperature range is 14 to 20 degrees C (57 to 68 F ) during the day. Night time temperatures could be 10 to 14 C (50 to 57 F ). Summer is warm, the daytime temperature is 20 to 28 C (68 to 82 F ) and night temperature range is 16 to 20 C (61 to 68 F ). We never need air conditioning as usually there is  a fresh breeze blowing. For winter the properties all have  new modern heating systems, so even if the outside temperature is low, inside it is always comfortable. Each house has a large fireplace. Spending time in front of the fire (and toasting bruschettas) is extremely pleasant.

Can we organize banquets and ceremonies?
Yes, at TodiCastle , there is a spectacular Medieval Banquet Room (seats max 20). We also have a beautiful family chapel for ceremonies. We will make a very special effort to make your celebration festive and complete.

When is the swimming pool open?
Each property has its own large private pool.  They are open from mid May to the end of September, depending on weather conditions.

Can we find routes for walks and cycling?
This area is famous for its natural beauty. The landscape is mountainous with many routes and destinations reachable by foot or bike. There are mountain bikes available for rent (adult and children). We  can provide you with a walking and trekking map of the local area.

Do you serve meals?
Our  Umbria Grill restaurant offers superb outdoor dining. We have an outstanding cook at TodiCastle Estate. If requested, our chef can prepare excellent lunches or dinners for our guests. Most of the ingredients we use come from farms in the area (oil, eggs, vegetables, fruit, truffles and wine) and from organic agriculture. The cost for a 5 course meal starts at the price of 35 Euro per person. Also available: cooking demonstrations, wine and truffle tastings, special evenings for celebrations and events (with entertainment).

What are the interesting places and cultural activities in the area?
We are conveniently located near Todi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Assisi, Gubbio, Siena,  and Perugia . Easy day trips can be arranged also to Rome (a 75 minutes drive) and Florence (a 90 minutes drive). There are a number of incredible medieval churches, Roman towers, and fantastic Renaissance piazzas (squares) to be  discovered. During the summer, many festivals take place offering Ballet, Music, Theatre and visual art exhibitions. The most famous ones are the TODI festival, the UMBRIA JAZZ festival and the SPOLETO festival. Also food and wine festivals are fun!

Are there local crafts of interest?
Local craft is very interesting, in particular the ceramics in Deruta (near Perugia). This small town has a century long tradition in this art. There is a ceramics Museum here as well as many shops. There are many other interesting places  in the area. Gubbio is known for its leather goods.

Are there any shopping areas around?
Retail designers' outlet stores can be found in Umbria especially for cashmere sweaters and  apparel. The quality of these garments is known worldwide. In the area of Florence there are many retail outlet stores, including Prada, Gucci, Armani and others. Our driver can take you to the best ones (and not the fake ones).

Any other areas you want to go to for your shopping, just ask!

Are there laundry facilities at the Castle and the Villas?
A washing machine is available at each property.

Is there a dryer?
No, but we provide hanging facilities. It is lovely to have your garments dried in the sunshine and smell of the out of doors.

Do you accept pets?
Yes, small pets.

Do the properties have landline telephone?
Yes. Charges will depend on the units used.

Do the houses have internet access?
Yes, WIFI connection is available in each property, free of charge.

Do you charge for heating?
Yes, we charge E25 per day at the Villas.  At the Castle charges must be calculated day by day.

Is there sport in the area?
Within easy reach of TodiCastle Estate you will find horseback riding, golf, archery, canoing, water skiing, fishing, para sailing, tennis.
