What is the procedure for renting and payment?
It's really simple. You select a villa, we put it on hold. Then we send you a contract/invoice via e-mail or fax along with our General Conditions Complete the form, including your VISA or MASTERCARD number, and return it to us by fax. A 50% deposit is required to confirm the reservation. The balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival.

What is your cancellation policy ?
Capecchio is entitled to:
- 25 % of the total booking price if the cancellation occurs from the first day after the booking has been made until 90 days prior to the beginning of the rental period.
- 50 % of the total booking price for cancellations occurring between the 89th and the 60th day prior to the beginning of the rental period.
- 100 % of the total booking price for cancellations occurring between the 59th and the day of arrival.
If lodger has to cancel, exchanging the reserved period for a future period (within 12 months from the original booking) is possible, but subject to availability and Capecchio's acceptance.
Additional charges for villa/castle are due in case the booked period is changed for a period with higher rates or in case of a general price increase. Administrative costs might also be included. Capecchio makes no warrants or guarantees.
Lodger can also choose to transfer the contract to a third party on condition that the third party accepts the terms of the contract between Capecchio and lodger as well as the General Conditions and on condition that all additional costs incurred by Capecchio are paid by lodger or this third party. Capecchio must be given notice in writing of the transfer. In case of a transfer lodger and the third party shall jointly and seperately be liable for the payment of the booking price.

Yes, a wonderful one. Please email us your mailing address and we will mail il to you. Should there be friends or family that you would like us to send the brochure to, please include those names and addresses and we will do the mailing.

Can we Preview the Properties?
We welcome your making an appointment with us to visit the properties.

Do you belong to any important organizations?
Well actually we do. Perhaps the most important is the Italian Association of Private Historical Houses and Monuments. Todi castle has been recognized as a National Landmark is 1982.

How far in advance should I make reservation?
If you are a large party, a year makes sense. At least 9 months.

Do you collect and sell our email addresses, and what is your "Privacy Policy?"
We DO NOT sell any addresses or information to others. We hate receiving junk email and thought you would too. But we will send you, from time to time, an update on new properties, and special offers.

What can we expect at the villa when we arrive?
A clean place stocked with all the cutlery, pots and pans, dishes, cups and saucers, coffee maker..bed towels and linens and towels to make your stay a wonderful one. And a discreet and efficient and friendly staff, that will strive to ensure that your visit to Todi Castle Estate meets all of your expectations.

What additional services are available ?
Relaxing massage at the swimming pool, baby sitting, children's party, guided tours, car and driver, car rental, wine tasting, cooking classes, chef, pizza party (in original wood owen), pre arrival grocery purchase and many other “tailor made” services.
It is necessary to book these activities prior to arrival.
Special services need to be booked and paid in advance. In case of cancellation, a refund is possible,  subject to Capecchio's acceptance.
Administrative costs may be added.

Do we need to rent a car? How do we get there if we don't have a car ?
Umbria is a peaceful scenic rural area. Walking distance from the house is a small local store (about a mile away). The closest international airport is Rome Fiumicino International Airport and from there to here it's about a 2 hours drive. The closest train station is Orvieto (45 minutes minutes drive). If guests choose not to rent a car we can arrange for guests to be picked up. We need to know in advance to arrange this service. During your stay a car with or without driver can be rented. Many interesting guided day tour can also be arranged.

How are the seasons ?
Each season has its own beauty. Of course spring and fall have the most comfortable weather. Temperature range is 14 to 20 degrees C (57 to 68 F ) during the day. Night time temperatures could be 10 to 14 C (50 to 57 F ). Summer is warm, the day time temperature is 20 to 28 C (68 to 82 F ) and night temperature range is 16 to 20 C (61 to 68 F ). We never need air conditioning because there is always a fresh breeze blowing. For winter the house has a new modern heating system, so even if the outside temperature is low, inside it is always comfortable. In the house there is a large fireplace. Spending time (and toasting bruschettas) is extremely pleasant.

Can we organize banquets and ceremonies ?
Yes, at Todi Castle , we have a beautiful private family chapel, and a spectacular Medieval Banquet Room (seats max 20).

When is the swimming pool open?
The pool ( 60 feet x 20) and is open from mid May to the end of September, depending on weather conditions. At the pool are changing facilities, and a refrigerator for cold drinks.

Is there any sport facility in the area?
In Todi, tennis, archery. In Toscolano, horseback riding. Trekking and mountain bike is also possible.

Can we find routes for walks and cycling?
This area is famous for its natural beauty. The landscape is mountainous with many routes and destinations reachable by foot or bike. There are mountain bikes available for rent (adult and children).

Do you serve meals ?
We have an outstanding cook at Todi Castle Estate. If requested, our Chef can prepare excellent lunches or dinners for our guests. The Chef will discuss the menu with guests. Most of the ingredients used come from farms in the area (oil, eggs, vegetables, fruit, truffles and wine). Most of the ingredients come from organic agriculture. The price for a 5 course meal starts at the price of 35 Euro per person. Also available: cooking demonstrations, wine and truffle tastings, special evenings for celebrations and events (with entertainment)

What are the interesting places and cultural activities in the area?
We are conveniently located near Todi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Assisi , Gubbio, Siena , and Perugia . Easy day trips can be arranged also to Rome ( a 75 minutes drive) and Florence (a 90 minutes drive). There are a number of incredible medieval churches, Roman towers, and fantastic Renaissance Piazzas (squares) to be seen and discovered. During the summer, many festivals take place. Ballet, Music, Theatre and visual art exhibitions. The most famous ones are the TODI festival, the UMBRIA JAZZ festival and the SPOLETO festival. Also food and wine festivals are fun!

Are there local crafts of interest?
Local craft is very interesting, in particular the ceramics in Deruta (near Perugia ). This small town has a century long tradition in this art. Many other interesting places are in the area.
Gubbio is known for its leather goods.

Can we purchase any produce from the Estate?
Yes, we produce honey, Olive oil and Wine (red and white). Our products are recognised as organic products, made in a completely natural and traditional way.
